Attitude separates you.

He was shocked that I could lift 120 kg on the bench press, especially since it was my first time at their gym. I traveled a long distance to meet my brother and purchased a daily subscription just to work out there. People at the new gym were surprised by the heavyweights I was lifting, commenting that it was too much for my size. While I was stacking the barbell, a guy approached me and warned me that I wouldn’t be able to lift it and advised me not to injure myself. I assured him I could handle it. I could see the disbelief on his face; he commented that I was too skinny. I smiled because I knew my own abilities, and I realized that he had underestimated me. If I hadn’t had prior experience with lifting weights, I might have been convinced by his comments, but I was confident in my strength.

I didn't listen to him and continued anyway. I managed to lift 120 kilograms for five reps, which surprised everyone, and even though it was my personal record, I pushed myself just to make a statement to those guys. This situation is quite common at the gym; when people look stronger, they often believe that you shouldn't be able to do what they can’t. These individuals impose their perspectives on others, and this was a major challenge I faced when I first joined the gym. Those who appeared strong always wanted their reality to be mine, often pushing me to lift weights that I simply couldn't handle. Eventually, I realized that I needed to stop working out with them and started training on my own. This turned out to be a wise decision, as I began to see better progress.

Attitude will give you an edge.

There is nothing bad in listening to advice, but I often realize that people love to force their reality on you when they can’t do something. They will try as much as possible to convince you that you cannot do it just because they couldn’t do it as well and this might not be true because people didn’t give it their all and some people did not wait till they get the results and that’s why they fail and looking for ways to pin their failure down on you. When people give you advice on things like that it is always good to give it a try too. There is nothing bad in trying. Some people might say why when somebody with experience has already advised you, but Life doesn’t always work like that.

During your journey, circumstances may have changed greatly. What once worked against those who advise you might now work in your favor. Only those with a positive attitude will fully experience these opportunities. Many challenges that were difficult ten years ago have now become much easier to overcome. People who attempted those challenges ten years ago may advise you against following their past mistakes, but keep in mind that technology and available tools have transformed things. You might not even realize how much things have changed if you lack the right mindset. It's essential to pursue your goals, as having a determined attitude makes a significant difference. By refusing to accept defeat and pushing forward, you can achieve success.

Good attitude is the foundation to success

A good attitude will always give you reasons to push for things till the end and always remember that people will try to force their opinion on you, but with the right attitude, you will always have an edge. We all have different stories to tell and we might go on the same path but tell a different story entirely.

Thanks for your time.

Attitude is indeed everything and for 2025 I've set myself to have a "JUST DO IT" approach to what life throws at me. Let's see how that will work out. 😉
