People are indeed influenced by different things especially when it comes to a habit people don’t see the need to discover themselves. People are mostly influenced by their role models, what they love to do and not what they are good at and this is the reason people fail to build a habit because is against their personality. We find those habits unpleasing, but we want to be like our role models or the love we have for the habits will not make us stop. Sometimes people build habits just for the challenges that they are facing and For the main time the challenges can be a source of motivation but sometimes don't last.
The question is how can we find habits that are tailored to our personality? This can be very difficult to find, but it can also be something that we have and a good example is finding what we are good at. We have things that we can do easily that most people complain about. I have always been into sports and I love playing football and basketball, Sometimes I spend hours daily doing both sports, people used to command my strength and my dedication and even till now fitness and strength training have never been a major problem for me, it is what I found Easy and those are the things we must first consider, what are the things you found easy and you are good at.
Doing something repeatedly can indeed make you better than 80% of the population, but this doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be the best of the best, sometimes when we are looking for the things that we can easily do we must also consider things that is fun to us, We have things that is fun to us but other people find it challenging. When you have things that you can easily do and it is fun for you, you’ll certainly be able to build a habit easily because it is easy for you and when is easy for you, you will find it satisfying and one of the things you must consider when you are trying to build a habit is finding it satisfying. Sometimes our genes make the whole difference.
When we are building or trying to create a habit, we must look for things that make us different, things that make us different can be a great part of finding the best habit to build on. Some people have a long leg, which is good for some sports, some people have a long hand which is also good for some sports, Some people have crazy strength and power. All these things are not common, but they are the things we can channel to create a perfect habit. Everybody has what makes them different, you just have to look for it, when you are trying to look for a bit that goes with your personality Look for things that make you different or things that you can easily do.
