I believe simplicity would go a long way in onboarding individuals with no knowledge of web 3.0. I have had a couple of friends who finds the site difficult to get things done and I agree with you, marketing also counts.

A lot of simplicity and usability have been inculcate, it's better than it used to be, howbeit, we have to do more. Have more devs and do better. However, the people coming in too needs to do their quota, this is why I mentioned that it's a two-way thing.
