Because the only viable path for growth is that operations like 'splinterlands' get duplicated, so that the business heads of such endeavors carry the RC costs.
But to date, no other project has achieved that. It's just a plethora of tiny projects, making very little noise outside of their echo chambers (hive bubbles).

Taskmaster on the other hand is still high af claiming HIVE can dethrone the establishment. He at least has a contingency plan though. Learn Spanish and move to Latin America and join the actual movers and shakers of HIVE.
