I'm sorry...I don't know how Nigeria will survive this
I just got back from the market and it's crazy that times use to be better in this country. POS shops are saying banks are not allowing them to take more than $6 (10,000) from the bank. It's not enough that we're suffering because of the devaluation of the naira. I'm starting to see cases of Kwashiorkor, and the psychological stress is telling.
The last shortage: people were trekking everywhere to long distances. People's banks failed them. I was not working in the hospital then but I'm sure people died because of it.
So get ready. Go and use any POS you can right now or else you'll be caught off guard again. I have food, all I need now is a little money for TP.
People in government open up the border to trade!! Good business environment.
I Can't believe I would be referencing 2 and a half years ago as if it was such a good time. I was spending 45$ at 500N/$ in 2020 for a month while eating in restaurants. Now I'm spending 56$ while going to the market to purchase my food. There is no getting away from Nigeria.
