I don't expect much value to be created from playing games but rather from designing levels, content, objectives, graphics/skins, etc etc. The interesting thing about Factorio is that one could play the game while generating the content needed to build value. It would just have to be played in a very specific way.

As with all games, the value comes from players looking to consume content and willing to pay for it. This business model becomes much easier to implement on something like Hive because a click of a button can create money.
