Told You So: What Did I say? Hive spikes late March.

LEO maximalists are feeling the sting something fierce as Hive continues to spike out of control alongside Steem. Personally I was mega-bullish on Hive throughout the entire consolidation phase during December, January, and February. I did nothing but buy more as everyone else complained about the stagnant price. Best opportunity to buy the likes of which we will not see again for at least 2 years.

Seriously I couldn't shut up about it and barely anyone listened. That's crypto for ya.

I even went so far as to predict multiple times that Hive would spike up specifically in late March. @marki99 laid it out quite well and I mostly agreed with his assessment so I reblogged the post.

https://peakd.com/leofinance/@marki99/why-hive-s-price-is-behaving-exactly-as-expected

Expect a 100% move up in Hive's price in March.

Hm, yep...

And it's obviously performed even better than anticipated. So many users think we can't even break all time highs again, let alone break new ATHs. Everyone got the bear-market goggles on. At the end of it all to assume that we haven't made any progress in 3 years of development is just silly. Hell, we didn't even have the RC system last time the network was clogged during the mega-bull insanity.

I bought so heavily in the 10-15 cent range that I'm fairly priced out of the market at this point. Nothing to do now but hold strong. You know who else is holding stronk? Every other person that was buying that 10-15 cent range. Only the Hive zealots bought this level, which is why the price keeps going up with very little resistance.

I'm not even going to think about selling until like $5, and maybe not even then. When my blog posts are making $300+ a pop I'm not going to be too worried about taking big gains. Let's talk again in Q4 and see where I'm at.

Hive/LEO ratio

I got a lot of flak from the LEO community for selling LEO into Hive at the 3:1 ratio. Now look at me go. At this rate I'll be able to buy back at 1:1. Again, I like to maintain balanced positions. When one network spikes I'm going to divert funds into the others. This is the synergy of crypto. Stop being a maximalist.

LEO maximalism

Once again, you don't get to be bullish on LEO without being bullish on the platform that it's built on. This is what happens in that scenario. You don't get to be like:

Oh well I like the Hive network but the tokenomics suck!

lol... no...

That "blockchain-not-Bitcoin" attitude is an over-emotional over-correction resulting from getting wrecked during the bear market. Bear market is over, friends: Q2 awaits, and Q4 will be even better. Get with the program.

Hive could hit all time highs and still only be ranked #40 on the market cap. To assume Hive can't make it into the top 10 after the Doge spike is just downright delusional. Doge community stronk.
Hive community stronk.

Again, you'll know things are crazy when value around here starts being measured in bandwidth instead of token price. "Free" transactions are going to be a treasured asset in Q4. Even fees on Binance Smart Chain are going to become prohibitively expensive after BNB goes x10 again to $2500. Don't even get me started on BTC and ETH: jesus.

resourcepoolfeatured1.jpg

I hope we have RC pools by then...

IMO RC pools are the #1 priority for this network. We need to separate the ability to transact on chain from delegations so onboarding cannot be exploited. Soon™

Conclusion

This market doesn't care about anyone's opinion. It's just going to keep doing what it does, and during the mega-bubble year that means up up up up up up up for 9 months with a few dips here and there. I'm pretty happy with the distribution of my bags. Are you?

I agree RC pools should have been a priority. It doesn't look like they'll be included in HF25 so it's unlikely we'll have them this year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Unless we ask the devs to delay HF25 by a month or two so that RC pools can be included. Seems like one of the most important features with a high impact.

If I remember correctly (I might not), they were considering it and decided to postpone it to HF26. But it's best to ask what the status of RC pools currently is.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I was under the impression they were looking into it. Maybe @howo has some insight on it.

It's still unclear if it'll get added to hf25, but it's not off the table either.

Thanks for the update... fingers crossed. Haha

I hope so.

How it is possible to consume so much resource credits?! :0 , I barely could drop it to 90% haha

Great question:

The answer is that RC costs are going to skyrocket as the chain gets bloated.
So it might cost x20 more RCs to post a comment to the chain.
Same goes for money transfers and custom json (although these are much cheaper RC than comments).

na is flexible. Also, second layer apps come more and more into the game.

We are on under 1% usage. It would need a lot before things become expensive, and even then, hive can scale. Fix it and all working.

But updates can only come with time to prevent spam.

Every wallet has RCs by nature. So in general, it would not be pay to play.

If the price would spike tomorrow to 100$ and if tomorrow want 1 Billion users to use Hive and each wants to comment 2 times a day.

It doesn't work. The demand would be so super high for the space in Block, prices would increase. Simple because Space in Block is limited.

But for that, second layer solutions come into the game and scaling comes with time.

There could be at this point increase in Blocksize or whatever. Back to the example with 1 Billion users and 100$ hive. At this point, the top 20 witnesses is a Multi-Million $ job. So money to scale and buy better hardware would be there.

At the moment is hive the Blockchain with the cheapest cost to run, compare to others. And Blocktrades and co work a lot to make it better and better.

Back to your question, it can be, there can also someone delegate RC for the user.

Short, because wallets have by nature RC, they can post. RC delegation would also fix 99%. It also protects against spam.

It is if you have little to no HP.

I've got maybe 1 Leo for every 100 HIVE. Been very HIVE-heavy for a long time. I am happy about the recent moves but I believe and hope it's just the beginning. We are still so incredibly underwater (those of us who got involved years ago) at this point, even another x10 wouldn't make us solvent. That said, yes, I'm happy! And you were right at Christmas when you todl me to hodl. Not that I had any choice, and was hodling anyway, but you were definitely right.

Lol @ todl me to hodl

Haha! Was wondering if anybody would notice/appreciate that :P

"everyone else complained"

Fact check: The above statement is bullshit.

Bullshitting: Takes one to know one.

Dude. It's called being a Visionary.

The difference between genius and insanity is measured by success.

...

I better go take my pills.

I didn't had enough Leo to swap to hive and hive to Leo but what I did I buy and stake and hold. Earning through curation was good till @brofi launched and now I delegated most of portions there to earn BRO tokens. So, I'm just enjoying the hive pump & no selling.

Doge community stronk.
Hive community stronk.

Hive community stronker....

Yep....happy as a mouse that found a box of cake.

It's not a competition...

But also: yes.

I've heard you say that several times.
I've managed to buy more during this bear market, I'm more prepared than ever for this mega bull run.
Enjoy the process, well deserved!

Just a few short months ago Hive was $0.14 KEKW

You've surely done a good bet. I suppose this is not your first cycle in crypto. I start to like this mega bubble year a lot and believe that we still have quite a few months until reaching the peak for this cycle.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

well i could always do better. my last buy was at 500sats, was lucky to buy some at 0.14$, wanted to buy some more, but Cub happened, and resources are limited.

in the first year of hive i sold exactly 0 hive (traded a bit inside the hive ecosystem). and powered up will probably not be sold for a long time. i am stupid like that and we will see what will happen in next few years.

would be nice to have RC delegation in the next HF. if not we will see how it will handle the Q4.

I want dat RC pools.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

y'all know that the FOMO begins now, either you in or you out for good. Hopefully this bull will dwarf the previous ATH. That being said people like block trades with his 58million stake or whatever it is will and already is insanely rich. But at 5 dollars the dudes half way to billionaire. Hope he doesn't need the money lol.

IMO RC pools are the #1 priority for this network.

This is true , if leo team release projectblank and we onboard a lot of people to that , RC will the be biggest problem they will face so by then we have to find a solution to that and the solution seems like RC pools.

I just wonder about the effect of hive on other tribes: we have just "Sell,Sell and Sell" Can the tribes survive with this imbalance between buying and selling

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Depends on the tribe, I suppose.

In general, every network is bringing value to every other network within the system.

Well LEO is a tribe and it is doing good . I get what you are saying but if tribes have to survive they have to expand their horizon than just staking and curating . THey have to find more usecases for their tokens so that people hold on to them .

I'm not even going to think about selling until like $5, and maybe not even then.

Diamond hands are needed. At $5 Hive (and, say, 1:1 Hive/LEO), I could be making $3k a month just from delegations. Why would I sell my seed corn?

"Seed corn" is such a great way of putting it. This is where I'm at. My stake is small but I'm way more interested in the long term potential than short term gains.

Hive 5 $ and I will be in heaven. lol

I’m also holding, I like to buy coins like that, when they’re down there

Impressive is what comes to mind upon reading your achievement ! I am beginning my journey here. Be well !

I would like RC pools to be available before Project Blank launches. Having to explain delegations/HP/RC to newbies might scare them off. I want them to have the same experience they have on other platforms without having to learn about delegations/HP/RC until later if they choose to go down the rabbit hole.

I am reading this thinking "I should have bought more" while knowing that I bought as much as I was ready to buy.

I am not at "life changing money" yet, but I have the confidence of staying here for a few more runs and dips.
