dCITY is not a game.

It may be seen as one, but your city in dCITY is actually a very untraditional income-generating asset.

I think the same can be said about cards in Splinterlands or some Hive-Engine tokens such as BRO, DHEDGE and more. They are all untraditional assets and that's exactly why you should have them! They are generating consistent income over time. An asset is anything that generates income.

So back to dCITY. At the start you need to invest into some cards in order to even start playing, but after that it doesn't have to become a game for you, it can become something that can generate you money - passively and consistently.

dCITY gives you something like a dividend, but it happens daily. You can put it all back and buy more cards to increase your investment or you can use it another way as you please.

I think it's a pretty risky asset, but dCITY is really fasctinating the more you learn about it. It was made in a way that with the help of curation rewards on HIVE and card sales the dCITY reward pool will always keep increasing.

It can potentially run forever.

Great points, big risk big reward in this case, the thing is I can't stop putting it all back in. :D

Same here ( as I just wrote underneath ) but I set myself a goal ( 10k SIM daily payout of the end of this month as the last re-investment day )

Yea currently i have made 400 hive from my 200 hive investment which is insane. I need to invest more into dhedge though.

BRO tokens are also fantastic.

So, thanks for linking me to this. When I first discovered dCity I decided it would be a pretty neat venture... I feel like it is way too late to get into it as I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money to try and get in the rewards pool at this time. So, from my perspective, it is not worth the money I would be putting into it if I want to treat it as anything more than a game...

With that being said, I have been buying packs and opening cards on Rising Star quite a bit recently, knowing damn well that it's just a game for me too. I feel like a bit of a hypocrite.

Good luck to you!

I also joined last year December and I have been re-investing too. I'm still a newbie though but I'm having a daily income of 16sim and I hopw to target 100sim daily before this month ends. It's such a great game and investment.

Hope the Sim price goes up soon

Very true. I see it as a gamified investment. Then again it's tricky to know when to stop investing or reinvesting your daily income. it's tempting to keep growing, forgetting to take out any of your investment, let alone make profit.

I set myself a goal to stop re-investing at the end of this month. Let's see if I can do it, especially when the 3rd edition appears.

And yeah, it feels more risky now the price of SIM is going down while payouts go down to, due to higher taxes. This makes changing SIM to Hive and cashing out a lot less appealing all of a sudden.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

It's too addicting, isn't it?

To you too!

Will try to add some gaming aspects on top of the dCity NFTs within my @hive-tools project. But I will combine them also with NFT's from other games and maybe own NFT's.

Don't you want some help with 3D models for @hive-tools and your 3D dCITY viewer?

Sure, when my viewer is ready so far, I need more models than I can create myself, so that the buildings don't all look the same. I plan to do this via some sort of contest. To do this, there will then be a feature on the site that will allow users to save their own created small models to the blockchain.
