I found another fact about her, the ship was used to transport wool from Australia to England as well.
No idea if there is any tea brand after her name, but Cutty Sark is named after an Scottish nightdress. :D

I think the change to shipping bulk wool came as Steamers were becoming more prevalent by their reliability and economically more competitive than the Tea Clippers. The age of the elegant Clipper (Windjammers) were a great advertising platform but are no longer competitive.
Their brand still makes a wicked Whiskey.
The times were changing, speed of the steamers gave the businesses to deliver the goods at faster pace. The clippers were a great deal that time, but technology keeps evolving to give us new inventions and improvement.
