Very recently, I got into the world of cryptocurrency. A guy in reddit mentioned this thing called Presearch. I looked it up and discover it was a search engine which offered a chance of getting crypto by using it (specifically, the PRE token).
So seeing no reasong not to try it, I registered and took a look around for a while, about a month ago.
Alright, Presearch has a referral program -which made me kinda wary because a few bad experiences I had in the past with these kind of systems-, so if you register with a referral link you'll get 25 PRE, and on the other side, the person which link you used gets 25 PRE after the system recognice the person who used the link -you- is an actual active user for about a month (that way they avoid people abusing the system with bots). Nice move.
Every search gets you 0,10 PRE. At least, it does to me, aparently it used to be 0,12, or maybe it changes depending of the country, dunno.
I havent used Presearch for a while since making this experiment, but aparently -acording to a reddit user- the payment was lowered to 0,08 per search.
Again, to avoid people abusing the system, you can only get paid with PRE for 30 searchs per day.
Now, to withdraw you need 1000 PRE. With 1 token ammounting to about $0.249; so you basically need the equivalent of $249 to withdraw. A bit too much, considering in my case I would get only 3 PRE per day. So You would require 333-334 days doing your whole 30 searchs each one, without counting referrals, to finally get your tokens in your control.
Of course... This is assuming you simply got the tokens you have.
YOU DON'T.
Presearch has a weird scoring system that gives you a level regarding how legitimate or not your searchs are, and depending on it, they made a particular % of your tokens eligible to be withdrawed. So, starting, only 50% of them are, making you actually need 2000 PRE to withdraw 1000. To avoid this, you would need to make your searchs "better" and along with your level, that % of eligible tokens will increase.
This is obviously quite difficult. While I understand this is something the team behind Presearch made to avoid people abusing the system with bogus searchs; I would say with the limit of only 30 rewarded searchs per day it's kinda enough. Besides, most people do dumb searchs at least once a day, if not all the time, and sometimes not even on purpose, so it would be hard for the system -which I doubt it's that perfect yet- to really determinate if a weird search it's real or not, causing most people to not reach a good level even when they are 100% legitimate users.
Note: Currently this system is invisible after they decided to work to change it. One good point in the bad stuff at least.
A curious thing about Presearch I should mention it's their staking adds function. Though sadly you need to withdraw your tokens to special staking wallet to use it for his.
For what I understood, this function lets you stake some tokens -effectively locking them- on a particular keyword, and assigning to it an add message and link. So when people search for that word -on presearch of course-, the highest bidder for that particular keyword will get their add displayed.
So you take advantage of this free promoting until you dont need it anymore, and then you can stop the staking, getting back your PRE and taking out the add in the process. Which would cause the second highest bidder's add to take its place.
Btw. this is a very strange first post! Where did you onboard from?
