Be more specific on what goal you want to achieve. Trust me this works.

I must thank ifarmgirl, taskmaster and also bitcoinflood who reminded me this on three different instances.

I reached my few hive goals that way.

Sort:

Also, most fail at goals because they have no system. A goal is a direction, the system is what gets us there. It is why most are lost.

I have a system each day on Hive.

I think what you mention is totally true. We get lost in HIVE because we don't have a defined system.

I would agree. Hive is nothing more than a microcosm for life. Most fail in general because they lack one. The primary focus is on goals and not on the system to get there.

I have seen from my own experience that you are right and I have the good sense to admit it, even if it hurts me.

Being brutally honest with ourselves is something crucial especially if we are underperforming or failing in some areas of life. Until we do that, we cannot start to fix the problem.

Most engage in self delusion which slaughters them.

But I think it's never too late to improve, so I'll try to create my own system.

Yes. Think of people who are extremely fit, they have a system for being that way covering sleep, nutrition, exercise, shopping, and rest.

It is all patterned out and the do not deviate from it much.

That is awesome. So you mean that we must create a plan for HIVE that covers or considers all facets of our life. I understand what you mean is that we should know what to do and know how to appropriately manage our time and attention.

Well if you are motivated LOL

I did it just for Hive but if you want it to apply to all of live, that might be helpful.

Setting a goal is easy...simply answer what you want. To get there, it is a completely different manner.

I've never seen it that way, but you're right. It seems logical and obvious now what you mentions it, but I simply hadn't analyzed it that way.

Yep. It took me a long time to uncover that magical melody. I stumbled into it actually on Hive . I never set goals like most on here.

That is fantastic. And I know you are right, because it is logical that if you achieve results that most cannot achieve or can only dream of, it is because you are doing something that most do not do.

I believe it was Thoreau who said most people lead lives of quiet desperation.

The fact that people cannot take action means they are mired in failure even if they achieve mediocrity.

I would love for you to tell us a little about your system in some of your future posts, but not to copy it, but to learn from you and create our own personal systems.

Okay I will think of how to do that. I havent really done much other than allocate time and simply do what is on the list.

But I can give it some thought. It is on the list.

Glad LEO have those “Genius” on threads

They should have helped lot of users on threads/Hive.

I appreciate them too.

Without having a specific goal, one would wander. Good morning Esmee.

Most importantly, focus on a goal you can control. Remember it is a direction to start. For example, most focus upon HP or LP achievements. A better goal is the actions you take each day. Make that the goal.

I guess this is really talking to me. I need to be specific with my goals

What you just mentioned is great advice that I deeply appreciate. Thanks for sharing it, I'll try to put it into practice as soon as possible.

Well said, because visualizing the specific goal we want to achieve will always be an important requirement to achieve it.
