Yeah well expect more of that as this decade continues. Unlike what the media likes to tout, those in the northern section of the planet are going to get a lot of cold air going forward. The omission of the sunspot activity in all the climate models means that they are severely underestimating the cooling trend that is already in place.
They will blame that on the warming too because it is the warming that causes the cold.
Even worse than the cold for humans is what it does to crops. Food production is going to suffer as growing seasons are much shorter. Last year, we lost a month with the cold weather being about two weeks longer in the spring and the warm ending a couple weeks earlier in the fall.
If we were honest about things, we could address it with massive investments in things such as climate controlled farming. But alas, it is going to keep warming according the models.

I think the global warming is more for the environment and I don't think we can really see the effects. For example if we see the ice caps melting and the ocean levels going up.
