RE: Cryptocurrency: The Answer To A Military Coup

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)
I've been following and tweeting about this story closely ever since the military coup in Feb. The Military in Burma (known as the Tatmadaw), has repeatedly overthrown the civillian government ever since independence. They have arrested, tortured and killed even young children in their brutal lust for power.

The leader of the military junta, senior general Min Aung Hlaing, was set for mandatory retirement in July of this year, but instead decided to arrest the lawful government on bogus charges of election fraud. One only has to visit the pages of Myanmar Now or The Irrwaddy to see their brutality in action.

They have shelled villages, and set parts of entire towns ablaze. This past weekend, they burned people alive. These swine have no business being in power at all. They have even attacked members of the clergy who were trying to protect innocent villagers.

They've declared war against their own people...

They are using airstrikes and artillery against peasants who were armed only with homemade muskets and hunting rifles, until the people organized into self-defencs units known as PDF's. The people protested the coup peacefully at first and were unarmed. They only took up arms after being ignored by the international community when they asked for assistance, and as a means to fight back.

I hope their revolution succeeds.

I support the NUG 100% and am proud they are finding ways to back the people using crypto. The military junta must be overthrown, and the legitimate elected leaders including State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, and President Win Myint must be released and restored to their elected offices.

If crypto can help in their fight for freedom, I'm all for it.
