My journey to a funded account at FTMO

Hello, dear LeoFinance community,
I would like to share my experiences with you today and hope to inspire some of you to continue on the path of trading. It is a challenging but rewarding process that pays off if you stick with it.
For those who don't know me yet: I've been working on building something solid with trading since 2019. During this journey, I kept a digital diary to share my experiences and lessons with the world. Now, after all these years, I've finally made it: I've been given a Funded account with FTMO, a renowned European prop trading company!

Why did it take so long to become profitable?
Looking back, it is now obvious why I was not successful until recently. However, during the journey, it was hard to see these mistakes clearly.
Between 2019 and 2024, I put a lot of my energy into social media: I wrote posts, created reels, documented progress and actively participated in discussions. Although all this was well-intentioned, it caused me to lose focus on the essentials – the actual trading and the necessary analysis.
In mid-2024, I decided to change things up. I took a long break from social media, retreated and focused exclusively on what really matters: my progress in trading.

The new chapter: a funded account with FTMO

The cover picture of this post symbolizes my milestone: I did it. Now a new challenge begins – maintaining the funded account and generating sustainable profits.
The pressure should not be underestimated. My goal is not to make millions in three months, but to make consistent and steady profits that can be withdrawn. At the same time, I want to avoid putting myself under pressure with unrealistic expectations. Finding a balance is key.

A personal retrospective
There were moments when people advised me to quit. Some even said that trading was not for me. Fortunately, I didn't listen to these voices. Even though it sometimes seemed hopeless, I knew that this was my only chance to make a difference in my life.

My advice to you
If you are also considering starting to trade, here is my most important lesson: be patient with yourself. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Learn from your mistakes, analyze your decisions, and find the courage to get back up again and again.
I hope my journey inspires you to pursue your own trading dream. If you have any questions or need support, let me know – I'm happy to help!
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

See you soon,
Christian
