There are multiple ways available to give a source. Let's say some big poet written some poems or quotes then you can use those poems in your blog or you can also use quote but you must have to add bock quote so this way you are showing that this quote or poem is not mine but someone own this material. If you mention the name of that poet then it will b a perfect way to give source.
Same goes with writing that you are putting in your post. Let's say I am writing any initiative or contest post and I want to show that contest rules in my post so in this can copy those rules from the contest post but I have to ad block quote for that. So this is the way to show copied texts and you are harming no one by doing this.
In the case of image we have to add the photographer profile link below the image but what we are doing, we are just adding the website of the photo platform which is still fine if the photo is stock free or in other words royalty free. Understanding someone's hard work is good and as a content writer it is our responsibility. Those free images are actually free but they want credit which is also not bad.
In the hive platform, everyone taking this ting seriously which is fine. I have visited many hive bloggers and they have always giving image source and information source. Completely copying something and doing research and then write something by your own way are two different things. Most of the writers know this basic thing and this is necessary to do. Well I am using leofinance logo but I am not giving source to leofinace because I am going to share this content on leofinance. So this case is different than above given cases. So at the end, always give a source and this is good habit.
