lowering my guard

I was browsing peakd as I do most every day and noticed this post from @steem.leo

I have been a supporter of Leo from close to the beginning and have accumulated a bit of LEO along the way as well as buying some LEOM and LEOMM. Most of those go to @felander-leo because of the different curation options that gives me.

But in the site @khaleelkasi mentioned something I did not take into account. I have also been using the Brave browser for ages now as well and am really loving it BUT I rarely lower my guard. In doing that I have not been doing myself a favor. I do not mind the banner add showing at the top of the screen especially if that helps in me raising the value of my Leo tokens in a roundabout way. All impressions that get paid from the site get burnt so that raises the value of my tokens.

FOR LEOFINANCE I am going to make an exception.

That also made me review my Leo income

Things I do right

• 2500 HP delegation
• Voting/curating with felander.leo

Things I have neglected

• posting through the leofinance.io site ( I used to post on the old site but neglected to after the move)
• turning down my shield and browse leofinance instead of peaked for financial posts.

All of this is helping the leofinance ecosystem but in the end that also helps me and I kind of forgot about that.

So now I am going to take a bit more care to do these things and hopefully we can all win together.

Thanks for supporting the community and making an exception with your shields!

It’s something that’s easy to miss, we definitely need to talk about lowering shields more often. The difference between daily traffic numbers and ad impressions is a wide gap, the more we close that gap, the greater the LEO burnt each month will be 🙌🏽
