The problem is that Hive cannot compete with Twitter, or any other such platform, without full centralization.
Twitter is growing its base by 4.3PB per year. Only the largest companies can afford that kind of space, and then it would mean that Hive would be in the hands of a few of the largest companies.
The only possibility is to have Hive small as possible (so no-one can publish posts) or someone will rewrite a protocol
Need a decentralized protocol that would allow for storage across a wider network of servers. Not all is required to be on chain.
But we will see how scaling is going to take place.
