As we wrap 2021, I wanted to share some of the great books I've read this year. They are indeed timeless.
Psychology of Money by Morgan House
This is the best and top most recommended book of this year. Its a must read for everyone. The author has very well articulated concepts around money, along with real life incidents and examples. You will get immense knowledge and deep dive into some of the under-rated misunderstood concepts of money, greed and happiness.
The book is full of real life examples and very to easy to understand. Irrespective of whether you are into stock market, cryptocurrency, trader or investor, or even a student, this book is essential for everyone. It talks about personal experiences, different generation perceive in different ways based on their own experience.
Get better at managing money and change the way how you perceive money in your life.
Principles for Dealing With the Changing World Order: Why Nations Succeed and Fail by Ray Dalio
This is very well relevant during this covid-19 pandemic, easy to understand and relate. Ray Dalio is world famous and needs no introduction in financial/economic circles. In this book, he describes various cycles of economics. Macro economic factors are covered, it will help you understand how things raise and fall, what are the factors which influence the change.
Books is 500+ pages. It is bigger than the 'Psychology of Money', it is recommended for people who would like to get insights into macro economic factors, changes which have happened in past, how it changes the future.
Atomic Habits by James Clear
As the name suggests, it will help you identify & follow good habits and get rid of bad habits. It is self-help or personality development book. Whole book revolves around how you can get better at this incrementally and achieve greater results. Crux of the book is to get 1 per cent better every day.
It is surprising how small changes will have an amazing impact on our life. You don't need to put abrupt brakes, instead take things slowly and incrementally improve. The books is also filled with interesting real life stories of leading CEOs, sports personalities etc. 'Habit' and 'routine' are very powerful entities in our life, they define many aspects of our life whether its professional career or personal life relationships. Consistency is the key.
This is books for everyone to read. Definitely a great value add.
