A survey conducted by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) in Spain revealed that young people between the ages of 16 and 30 express great enthusiasm for cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin (BTC) and ether (the cryptoasset of the Ethereum network).
The study, conducted with the support of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs reflects that 61% of young Spaniards prefer to invest in cryptocurrencies and do so in double the proportion of older investors.
The survey was conducted during the month of September, in the middle of the cryptowinter and although the forecasts were not at all optimistic for the price of bitcoin, at that time, 63% of the young people surveyed indicated that bitcoin was their favorite cryptocurrency.
The rest of the respondents said they had invested in ethers (ETH) or ADA (Cardano's native cryptocurrency).
