Is the main concern that client-side software evades the encryption security they tout in their other points, creating a security hole you could drive a truck through?
Exactly. It can read all the encrypted apps on a phone bypassing said encryption.
I figured as much, but I wanted to make sure, and clarify for folks even less in the loop than I am. But come on, we can totally trust the global megacorporations already known to have deep political ties and motivated by targeted advertising profits to always have our best interests at heart.
Of course! Money has no part to play in it what so ever. These things are all for OUR BEST INTEREST and we can totally trust the megacorps. Just like we can totally trust the government is spending our tax dollars properly.
Yup, and anyone in court is guilty, because if they're innocent, they wouldn't be suspects in the first place! Besides, legality defines morality and rationality 1000%.
And If you haven't done anything wrong then you have nothing to hide. The religion of laws has usurped all other religions as a daily overlord of every human and it happened so easily.
Once AI is "featured" on all our phones and operating systems, the war against end-to-end encryption will be over, and we will enjoy perfect high-level encryption. Because who cares about encryption when AI can analyze and summarize all your screenshots, texts, images, audio, etc and that neat packaged text summary will never leave your device, even though it's just a few KB. An no human will ever see it. Just AI. Benevolent AI.
