You can say the prospects won't be ready, but there is always a transition where they have to play NHL minutes to get there.
Doesn't this just block any pathways with players proven to not be enough to get out of the first round?

Players get better. Bigger, faster, stronger, smarter....and other teams age. The only way forward for the Wild right now is building from within and I think it's working. This is the year...IF they stay healthy.
