Do you ever have conversations with other domain owners (like ecency.com and peakD.com)?

They receive money from the DHF so don't have to monetise content like you to remain sustainable.

But what are your positions on AI content?

Sort:

I don't fully believe in receiving money from the DHF

Especially in a case where your code isn't 100% open-source

I believe in either:

  1. 100% open source
  2. Sustain yourself and build without training wheels

AI content - t's a difficult debate. I grade on engagement

I think the #1 problem is that HW isn't just downvoting proven AI content. They're assuming AI content in cases where it isn't true

I don't support guilty til proven innocent

No fan of AI content for blogging, but I recognize that AI is here to stay.

We should develop standards/guidelines which show acceptable ways we can use AI. This way, if we encounter AI-enhanced content we can see if it meets standards.

Perpetual support from DHF for sustainability in itself is not sustainable, it should mean providing the basic support in the beginning to provide the needed momentum. Otherwise, it can not expand its support to new things. Support should be seen as generous, but not unlimited.
