Does anyone have a super rough number for the dollar value of a LEO upvote?
For example how much in USD is a LEO upvote worth if you have 10K LEO power?

Well, my vote on your post here is worth 0.012 LEO with 350 LP. After doing the math with those numbers as a reference, a 10k LP 100% vote would be worth about 0.343 LEO.
Interesting, I thought the mechanism was standard across all tokens. For example, it takes about 10k CTP Tokens to hand out 1, which splits 50/50. So 20k provides about a '1 for you and 1 for me' upvote. I figured LEO would be the same.
I'm sure Leo has made some tweaks to the emissions mechanism used by Hive, But I'm just assuming and this method is hardly accurate, because there might be a pretty wide range of LP that equals the same vote value.
I understand, and I believe your assumption is probably a close enough approximation for the author's sake. I just thought curation values are standardized, in some fashion.
Thank you math friend.
I think that works out to roughly $0.02 and you're welcome.
Where do I even begin to work this out?
feature request. I've been hoping for something like Hivestats.io but with LEO would be amazing for some reason no one wants to do it
Is it something that can be formulated as a "LIP" (Leo Improvement Proposal) and financed as such? - to formalize your wish, and give it more visibility.
Not that I'm aware of. I thought at one point LEO was going to be a governance type token as well. I even reached out to one dev but kind of got shrugged off lol so maybe it's more complicated with a layer 2 token?
"Comparison is not reason" (French proverb), but the Splinterlands Team has been using the SPS layer 2 token for the last 10 months as a governance token, allowing the Community to vote on dozens of feature requests / strategic decisions
I'd think that if we write a LIP, there will be spaces through which it will be promotable.
Everyone still sees layer-2 tokens as the spam you earn on top of your HIVE.
LEO is on the cusp of flipping this narrative by generating real revenue from content.
When the flip happens, it will come I guess.
The gaming layer-2 tokens, like DEC & SPS, have succeeded in breaking that "crystal floor". LEO could become the next one, if we continue enriching its ecosystem ☺️.
We kind of lost a ton of momentum from 2-3 months ago when threads first launched. The follow up with features people really wanted like ad revenue most likely would have put LEO ahead of Hive today in price or at least close.
I just don't understand why the team hasn't released clear reports that show how much traffic threads needs to generate enough revenue to buy back LEO's daily inflation at X price.
But nope, just all vague future maybe probably nots.
When you take a step back and look from the outside in there's a lot of weird red flags honestly. It's been two years of this constant back and forth. I love LEO but they need to seriously shape up on some aspects one being what you said
Khal comes across as a bit ADHD,hes all over the place and never really finishes any particular feature, before he starts on another. He gets it working enough to use,but not fully. This means much of what's promised is WAY down the line yet.
Can you send me a dm on discord (yes, cos that's the only way of DMing at the moment) @forexbrokr @notconvinced @bitcoinflood
No, I don't use discord, only Matrix Elements
It doesn't matter that we're nowhere near that number.
Just show where we're at and then you can make a projection.
It's a no brainer.
I'll have to update myself on that ad revenue feature, lol. "Threads" is the only website where I've lifted my adblockers, so I see that ads are active here.
What is the "bottleneck" in that respect?
That the money goes into Khal's account and sits there.
It's all just a 'maybe in the future it might be used to buy LEO maybe'
