The guy wasn't ready when the clock ran out, the fielding team appealed and the umpire has to give him.
To check the exact time of the catch and when he padded up to face the ball. Some say there is discrepancy on how it was handled when the helmet malfunctioned
Well for me, that is also ridiculous and completely unnecessary.
The umpire has an opinion everything that happened there.
Ask the umpire is he out or not, and get on with it.
