Finally doing the last iron ingot!

Then I will be able to start crafting the Oil Press!

This game is a slow "low time spending" game, and I would say... the fact that it takes time, it actually attracts me. I don't want easy to achieve games, otherwise I will just get bored and stop playing it.

#dcrops #game on #hive

Sort:

It's a slow burn for sure. Addicting that I want to keep building, but it doesn't take up much time to play. It's more like a long term planning type of thing.

Yep... =) And when the events happen, I do the extra mile to kind of take advantage of them as much as I can. But I realized this time around, that we all benefit even more if every new player tries to adhere to the event too. Way more than I can benefit in percentual terms.

So next event, I want to do some gamification of new players that play the event... and further reward them, like for example, give them gifts and such...

In discord scriptkittie teased some new very small "starter" card packs that should make starting out as a completely new player a little more intuitive. I wouldn't say it's complicated as is, but the beta packs in the store have very little land cards in them. So most new players just buying beta packs can't really play with just the cards in the packs. They need to buy land from in game market, which is fine, but a little unintuitive to not have ANY form of land available from shop. I would have to assume the alpha land cards will always be better tho, even the cheap ones that are only like 2 or 3 hive currently.

Yeah, you are right. I would even say, that if games do like splinterlands, sort of having some basic cards that don't generate resources until you "buy" a real pack, would be a nice way to start. And those starter cards could be some sort of "free to use" lands until you have effectively drawn some lands on a real pack, and that would replace the free with a real land, and start getting you rewards. That way, I think most players would start trying it.

Same goes for some basic stuff to plant. Obviously, that might add some complexity to the current UI, because it would not be based on blockchain data... but might be a good "tease" to players that just want to try.

I never got into dcrops

Its never too late... actually it does not really matter when you enter...

A pack/land is quite cheap at the moment to start slow...

The event's for new users are really a thing not to miss I would say... but because for one to participate in one you need to be playing (aka have an account). Sometimes I just thing... maybe if people create their accounts and if they don't have time to play, at least they can spot when the events happen and participate on them when the do.

I invested a lot on dcity. It died slowly as things get more complicated and I lost interest. The token price was also a factor for me to lose interest.

I still have my dcity there... never going to sell it... =) its a slow game... sometimes I do some great stuff very randomly.

I am not selling anything. Who knows Hive explodes soon :P A dream for sure.

Just on games assets... I think I have more than I have on staked #hive probably.

wow that's a lot. I need to check your wallet to see how much HP you have. I assumed you have a lot ha ha

I haven't played dcity but it seems #splinterlands is doing the same. Just look at how complicated land is or will be.
