RE: Are We Better Off On Twitter or LeoThreads?

in LeoFinance2 years ago

Thanks as always for your insights! ☺️

I think the benefit that people see with using Twitter is the social aspect - there is engagement with the tweets, even if it does not pay. Whether it's a reply or a like or a retweet, they are seen. Threads on Leo are not used frequently enough to engage this aspect of what can be considered a basic human need: social interaction. Plus, it's tucked away within LeoFinance, and barely has any activity leading people to know that it exists (I found it through one stickied post which I'm sure not a lot of people see).

Threads need to gain visibility by those using Hive first and foremost; then, we can expand outside and convince Twitter users to join.

Sort:

Certainly there has to be the use by people on Hive first. This is the point. We have maybe 500 threads done a day. There are more than 8,000 people on Hive. If each one did just a simple Thread, the numbers would explode.

Alas, that is the plight of anything. The masses do next to nothing.

I think that putting it closer to the forefront of LeoFinance would help. I dug around to find Threads and how to use it. It's tucked away in a corner of Hive. If I'm being frank (not the drunk guy next door 😉), I'm surprised the engagement is as high as it is out of 8,000 active users!
