RE: Search And Music On Leo

This is a great way to collect all of these songs, but I have a single practical concern:

Accessing the music takes more clicks and searching than it would if we go directly to YouTube. Additionally, YouTube offers 'related content' which is not yet available here for obvious reasons (namely, not enough data).

These two factors automatically make YouTube the superior source, even though this glossary contains artist information and multiple links to their songs/albums. Now, if we could at least solve the first issue, ease of access, then we'd have a very viable product on our hands.

Does YouTube pay you for page views on their site?

People need to take ownership of the ad revenue that is being generated especially those holding Leo Power.

My point is geared towards the average consumer who may be visiting from outside and looking to listen to music. They'll search for the route with less clicks and an easier interface. Even as members, they're less likely to sacrifice the ease of use for what may amount to pennies (for now). In the future, as rewards grow, this may change.

Myself, I'll be willing to do this to stimulate the early growth - but I also know that I'm not replicating the behavior of the average consumer.

That is true. However, for now, this is geared for those in house. Maybe the tech will advance, maybe it wont. I cant speak on the since it is out of my realm. However, I do know we all can post some videos, get pages created, and listen to the music ourselves.

With nearing 2K MAUs, getting 100 or so to do that should be achievable.

Indeed, that's how it has to start. I have some ideas on how to make it more user-friendly on the interface - will be posting about this within 1-2 weeks. I'm going to have a bunch of community posts to send out first!

We can only suggest and hope it gains traction. That is why I want to get the numbers. With 900 videos and basically a week of effort, Khal can ignore me.

Give it a couple months and we are at, say 5K, then it is harder to ignore.

We need to get the page views up so he sees a difference on that end. If so, that will get his attention.
