Saturday Savers Club – A Deep Dive into LEO

Hello dear piggy bankers,

I'm a bit late this week, but I still wanted to send my progress report, because the world of Hive hasn't stood still, and I've also read a lot, understood some of it, and even written a few articles that helped me move a tiny part of my goals in the right direction.

Furthermore, I had to skip last week's report, which is why to I have to publish this post.

LEO

I'll start with one of the most important tokens that I've set as a savings goal.
LEO has been in my peripheral vision for a long time, and I had a larger amount of LEO some time ago that I unfortunately had to sell for other purposes.

But it's only this week, after reading numerous articles from the main account @leofinance and others involved in the project, that I've understood the direction in which Leofinance.io and the whole ecosystem have developed.

The vision of the entire team is ambitious, and the previous performance and delivered features are even more impressive considering that they've financed everything out of their own pockets.

I believe, LEO has one of the most upsides in the coming bull market and I want my piece of the pie.

This Article here was especially impressive to me.

It's a proposal by the LEO team for a marketing-budget which has fortunately passed if I understand the following article correctly by @ifarmgirl-leo

Congrats to all of us, as the Leo team is now launching an onboarding campaign that should hopefully bring us more Hive users in a few months.

What does this mean? Definitely more users for the various apps in the ecosystem.

More readers, hopefully more writers (which also means more competition), new larger and smaller investors, and hopefully a few amplifiers (I dislike the word "influencer").

Because I want to support this amazing project with the limited funds I have available, I've delegated 500HP to @leo.voter. This is partly because, after reading all these articles, I've come to appreciate the value of the LEO token and now consider my initial goal of 1000 only as an intermediate target that I want to reach as quickly as possible.

I've set a specific weekly goal of earning 100 LEO, which I will buy from the market using liquid Hive. If I take an average price of around 0.1697 (from last week), it would be approximately 17 Hive for 100 LEO.

Daily rewards from delegation amount to round about 1 LEO, which is approximately an additional 7 LEO per week.

Occasionally, I will also manage to write some articles related to finance, saving, crypto, or investments, which realistically could contribute to earning around 120 LEO per week in the long run. This means that I could reach my first goal of 1000 LEO in 8 weeks.

As of today, I have 237 LEO, after making a few LEO purchases on the market. So, I still need 763 LEO to reach my goal.

Hive Power

Halbtagsdichter

My Actifit account, "Halbtagsdichter," is currently more active (pun intended), as I aim to upload at least 5,000 steps daily. Occasionally, I receive a slightly larger upvote because some people enjoy my ramblings within my fitness journal.

I try not only to provide the basic step count and only using the template but add a narrative touch and a few pictures, if I made some on the day.

"Halbtagsdichter" has already accumulated 137 Hive Power. Similar to what I've done with "Freedomprepper," I've set a 50/50 payout option to invest the other half in tokens that I've chosen for my savings goals.

Freedomprepper

Freedomprepper was somewhat less active, at least in terms of writing blog posts. I definitely need to change that, as my unfinished article ideas are already piling up again.
With Freedomprepper, I now have 1089 Hive Power.

HP Overall

So, I have a total amount of 1226 Hive Power now, which is an increase of 106 compared to two weeks ago. I still need 1274 HP to reach my goal, which is a bit more than half.

Sprint

My plan next week is to deliver one article a day for both accounts. This might not have a significant impact on next week's Saturday Savers Report, but hopefully, it will result in a steeper upward trajectory for the following week.

Alive

In the past two weeks, I've been collecting Alive Token whenever I've been on Tribaldex. "Halbtagsdichter" also gathered Alive by using targeted hashtags on relevant articles, so now I can proudly say that I own 419 Alive Tokens. This is an increase of 253 tokens compared to two weeks ago and leaves me only 581 tokens away from my stated goal.

Slowly but surely, I'm experiencing the power of focused saving with well-defined goals, which encourages me to honestly reflect each week on whether I've done everything to achieve them.

SPS

After a brief return to Splinterlands, I've decided to give it up again.
There are just too many new rules and new cards that are soulbound and have already been distributed to a large extent.

As a result, I've noticed significant competitive disadvantages. I'm simply no longer competitive, and from now on, I will view Splinterlands only as passive income and as an investment that I hopefully will liquidate with profit in the upcoming bull market.

It's kind of sad to be honest. I love this game and I was a diamond player at one point before my second hiatus from Hive. This is a reminder, that no one waits for you. Time flies by sometimes.

For now, I'm lending out my cards again and delegating my staked SPS to generate some passive income. Thanks to the DEC that has been sent to my account as a result, I was able to buy a small amount of SPS from the market. This brought me from 10,599 to 10,833 tokens, which is an increase of 234 SPS.

To reach my goal of 100,000 SPS by the end of the year (actually, 100k SPS is my ultimate goal until the price has risen so much that it's no longer worthwhile to buy more), I would need to purchase around 4,700 SPS per week, which is unrealistic.

Nonetheless, I'll keep the goal in place, as I'm certain I will invest externally again by the end of the year.

Final Thoughts

With this thought, I conclude my Saturday Savers Report for this week.
You can find an overview of my savings goals here.

I've set my weekly goals for LEO, SPS, and Alive tokens at a moderate level for now. This way, I'll need to write a bit more to earn enough Hive, but I also won't become too unrealistic.

I've already mentioned my LEO weekly goal above. For Alive, reaching 250 tokens weekly is definitely attainable.

The preliminary SPS goal of 200 tokens is solely the income from the game itself, including staking rewards, SPS delegation rewards, and lending out the cards.

Have a successful start to the week and enjoy a lovely Sunday tomorrow.

Hey there! Amazing goals you have there fren, nice!

The proposal still needs some support so if you haven’t voted make sure to do so and spread the word, we still need one million hive power to support the initiative, so every little bit counts!

Congrats on your progress in both your accounts. Keep them growing 😉 Hope you'll be able to reach your SPS target as well.

It's a proposal by the LEO team for a marketing-budget which has fortunately passed if I understand the following article correctly by @ifarmgirl-leo

That was my post last week. The proposal threshold has increased however so LEO needs more support to reach it. Please vote if you still didn't :) Thank you.

Oh, I didn't know that. I have voted with freedomprepper. I could vote with Halbtagsdichter as well. Hopefully, it passes.

That's great and yes, you can vote too using your alt account. Let's hope it gets the needed support.

You can set your other accounts to follow your main account as proxy, and then when you vote with one the others also add their voting weight.

If you use Keychain, there is a 'Governance' section under 'Menu' that has a 'Proxy' tab that makes it easy to manage.

Oh great, I didn't know that.
My Actifit-Account doesn't have that much, it wouldn't make any real difference but it is good to know.
Thank you :)

Congratulations on your success so far on your goals, and with managing two accounts so well! I'm a buzzy bee on the Blockchain as it is with just one account I can't even imagine trying to do two! It's funny, I'm slowing growing my Splinterlands assets, even though I've never even played the game once yet...😂 May you obliterate all your goals moving forward! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
