The market might get very crazy in a few months time and this is when people tend to forget or cancel their initial goals for the end of the bull run

They meant as riding different waves during the bull market? That happens in the bull market, and often leads to losing gains on all or many of the upward movements.
Yeah, I don't know the whole story as they didn't elaborate, but it was probably more of going after other stuff and abandoning their old bags
