I don't even have bird-eye-view of your countries situation but it seems to be that way the wealthy people of your country couldn't careless about what is happening to your economy and currency - their real equity is safe in Dollar.
The wealthy capitalists benefit from economic chaos and further enrich themselves. Capitalism is the same all over the world.
That is nothing. Here in Spain we pay tax as Swiss and got Nigeria service. The floods in Valencia left hundreds of dead and ravaged towns, and 95% of the rebuilding is being made by people.
I guess politicians are the same everywhere. Some countries just have them slightly better.
