Coinbase CryptoExchange has hired Shilpa Dhar, Ravi Bjacod and Frank Yu as Vice Presidents of Product, Engineering and Development respectively.

Dhar was formerly the product manager for Venmo, and prior to that, he worked for Paypal for 10 years. Biakod joined Coinbase from Adobe and has also held senior engineering positions on eBay, Flipkart and Google. Yu led the research and development team at Google.

At the same time, Coinbase announced the formation of a new "platform" team to connect product specialists with engineers. It will be headed by Dhar and Biakod.

Also shortly before that Coinbase announced the launch of Rosetta implementation for Bitcoin Blockchain. It allows to implement functions that were originally unavailable in the Bitcoin Core client.
Rosetta represents the company's attempt to standardize the process of cryptographic integration into various services, including blockbusters, wallets and decentralized applications.

Coinbase notes that developers may encounter a number of problems when integrating Bitcoin, such as requesting the balance of a purse or "building transactions without importing private keys into the node".

"Rosetta-bitcoin provides access to all these features without requiring a default configuration and can be launched with a single command," the company writes.
