RE: 12 Proven Passive Income Ideas On the Hive Blockchain - 12 Pasif Gelir Olanağı (English - Turkish)

Thanks for this post. It's super useful!

I'm wondering whether staking and curating is better or delegating is better, since I curate by hand.

Next time I should be able to say what was or is the best investment for me.

That would be very helpful. 😊

Thank you for stopping by Gillian. I am very happy that you found it useful!

In my experience, it's more fun curating by hand. But it may not always be profitable. For example my curation apr is 7.9% on hivestats.io at the moment. Leo.voter offers 16% apr. Delegating in this case is more profitable for me. But of course I like curating by hand too.

Thank you 🌼

How do you work out your curation APR or does it show you that on hivestats.io without having to do a calculation?

Is that 7.9% on Hive or LEO?

Yes. The apr shows on hivestats.io:

A couple of weeks ago I was be able to increase it to 15%. (I automated my upvotes via rewarding.app). Then it went down again, when I started curating by hand 😀

I just checked mine. It's 4%. I'm not surprised as I mostly curate on LeoFinance so I don't bother about the timing. Much more enjoyable that way but maybe not so lucrative. 😂

Because this is such an awesome post, here is a BBH Tip for you. . Keep up the fantastic work

Curating is always better because no project provides 100% returns , there will be 1-10% cut for project handlers .

But when should you delegate? When you don't have much time to curate yourself and you are losing the curation rewards .

Curation doesn't provide 100% rewards either though does it? Isn't it 50/50 on LEO? Not sure about Hive.

Oh I guess I didn't convey the message properly .

Let me explain with an example :

Let's say you curate manually without delegating to others . You get 10 LEO curation reward , all of that is yours .

Let's say you delegate your tokens to someone else , they get 10 LEO curation reward because of your delegation , they keep 0.5 LEO as fees and send you the remaining .

That is why I feel curating yourself is better unless the delegator will pay 100% ( of curation rewards ) back.

Ah. I get it. I hadn't really thought about where the returns on delegation come from although I suppose the clue is in the name, e.g. leovoter
