1/🧵 #Feedback. Floating FAQ. That is what #inleo desperately needs. I’ve been using Hive since 2017 and would call myself an experienced user. Yet I find Inleo puzzling and have to ask around every now and then.
2/🧵 But if I just signed up on a platform that doesn't provide any information to newbies and had trouble understanding it, I'd quit. Sure, you can call me a spoilt user, and I certainly am one. However, this is the standard nowadays, people want simple and intuitive tools.
3/🧵Leo (and we all as there’s a DHF proposal funding it) invests in promoting Leo outside Hive and succeeds in attracting new users. That’s a great achievement, we as a community struggle with spreading the word since ever. Now, we should prevent those newbies from leaving due to poor first impression and troubles with understanding the platform. Instead, we shall help them find communities they are in line with and topics they want to follow.
4/ 🧵Let’s not reinvent the wheel – Ecency has a Floating FAQ which seems to work great to me. It aims to explain anything a newbie may have doubts about in a user-friendly manner. Not only the perks of the front-end, but especially the very basics of Hive, the reward system, etc.
