Yes, that's why I prefer Apple - it's business plan is not deeply rooted in monetizing your personal data. And gives you freedom - relatively speaking, and comparing to the other big techs.

Apple has been one of the better companies regarding privacy. They also do a good job of protecting it. I cannot recall one data breach for Apple.
Amazon is another one that seems to do a good job with it. Everyone else, not so much.
I am quite sure there were breaches too :)
Amazon does not really run any business here in the Czech Republic, even though it has its CEE HQ and a large warehouse here in Prague. I considered it an option in Spain, but they couldn't match offers of the other vendors.
I kinda think they are huge in the US, and don't really shine overseas. Or perhaps somewhere in the Asia-Pacific region, I haven't lived there yet ;)
Maybe but I dont recall any breaches. Google, I can think of a number of them.
Same with Amazon, none that I can remember.
I think you are right, that company is mostly North American focused.
