Should I pull the trigger to sell HBD & Buy HIVE? Or Wait - My Strategy Ahead...

Hey All,

We all in the crypto space don't like our favorite coins to be in red & the worst part is when they have been continuously falling for last couple of days. Just have a look at he price of #HIVE for the last 7 days; picture taken from coingecko. The point here is that #HIVE token has been falling from $0.30 cent and is now about to breach the $0.25 cent mark. Is this the golden opportunity for the HBD holders to convert their HBD for HIVE?

I have been building my HBD [HIVE BACKED DOLLAR] account for quite some time now. My short term goal was to reach 5K+ in HBD account. This is screen short from past where I had Sold 500 #HIVE to receive 200 #HBD and now if you do the same exercise you are going to just get 128 HBD and the reason being #HIVE price has declined since then.

The big question is whether to take advantage of the declining price of #HIVE now or to wait. Currently, I have over 4K+ HBD in a savings account, earning a consistent APR of 20% without any risk, as this APR is provided by the HIVE Blockchain itself. It's difficult to predict whether #HIVE will decline further or bounce back, as market predictions are never 100% accurate. Therefore, one should make a decision that best suits their strategy.

To be honest, right now I am tempted to convert some of my HBD to HIVE. However, I'm also considering the possibility that there is still room for the price of #HIVE to correct, and I should wait before making a move. One thing is certain: if #HIVE falls below $0.20, I will definitely swap over 2K HBD for HIVE. So, I do have a plan for that scenario. As for the remaining 2K+ HBD, I need to decide whether it's the right time to convert now or if I should keep it invested in the savings account. Given the overall declining trend in the crypto market, I have a gut feeling that we might see a further bear market in the near future. That might be the right time to take action. Until then, I'll try to convince myself to adopt a wait-and-watch approach...cheers what are your thoughts on selling HBD for HIVE at this moment?

I am also hesitating to convert HBD to Hive, there is a say: never catch a falling knife. We don´t know where the bottom is.

personally always thought this was refering to sellers panic selling and thereby locking in their losses. But I guess it also makes sense the other way around.. all depending on how much belief yo got in the asset I guess. Buying a meme coin going to zero on the way down is bad. Getting a good price on a solid coin is great

I interprete it as "don´t buy while the asset is still falling". For me the HBD are a safe haven, so in order to sell HBD to buy Hive I rather be sure that Hive won´t fall further.

Yeah it makes perfect sense, although nobody really knows when the bottom is in until it's already restored value.

From the other side, trying to stop your loss and sell before it goes down further, that can also be seen as trying to catch the knife before it drops to the floor..

Anyway, been buying some cheap hive and at least started na unlock of some hbd 😃

I already bought 2000 HIVE at 0.2565, and I'm waiting now for 0.21 to add another 2000. Yes. These are rare opportunities, but only for the brave ones!

I think Hive is at a very nice low price right now, so I'm constantly turning my earned HBD into HIVE.

Interesting thoughts here ....waiting I would say. I am patient and keep with my motto HODL ON

Now is the time 100%. Or 1/3 now, 1/3 july, 1/3 august.

I think HBD offer better peace of mind, although if Hive climbs back it might be a good move. I still prefer HBD.

Tough to say. HIVE is at a decent price at the moment but it could go lower so who knows. I am NOT a trader so these these types of decisions make me nervous 😬
Good luck!

I decided to take a risk and bought 1000 hive at 0.215. My goal is to have a year to surpass 20% profits to surpass HBD.

This means that I can sell Hive at 0.25 in a month, and put HBD back into savings.

Or turn to dust. Who knows?
