Committing to specific dates may be hurtful for quality by people trying to make the deadline at all cost. But why not communicate a rolling roadmap, so that stakeholders know which projects will launch first?

I agree. Personally, I just think this all started coming together very quickly and they got a little ahead of themselves. I would expect that they'll probably do something like that going forward but want to have something concrete to announce next time they put out an update. Just my gut feeling. We'll see. In the meantime, like I said, I'm just sucking up Cub while I can.
