Leaving the Tip for You to Grab It!

Every year I save hundreds of dollars by doing one small, simple thing...and I'll let you in on the secret...

My family is similar to anyone else's family in the modern era. Everyone over 12 has a phone, and while that may not be true for most families (the part about 12 year olds having a phone), many of us get sucked into clicking on that "I agree" before being able to use an app, sometimes not even reading ...scratch that...rarely reading what we're agreeing to...

About once a month, I will go into my phone, look at the App store (Play Store for Android), and look at what subscriptions I have. On too many occasions, I'll find in my spouse's phone a recurring monthly charge for $8.99 or similar. I once even found a $99 annual charge for an app that went from a trial period to live.

It is a wise practice to check your subscriptions on a regular basis. There have been several times that I have found an annual charge pop up on my bank statement from an app that use to be on a trial period but no longer is...usually an app that was used for a day to test it out and never thought of again until the charge popped up.

Good luck!
