Getting my First Passport and Exploring the World

in LeoFinance8 months ago

Many love travelling around the world. I personally loves going from one country to another. Honestly is can be fun going to different places and seeing how people do things differently from we do ours. Have you ever travelled out of your country? If yes, you will have a lot of experience to tell.

Let me tell you my experience traveling to other people's country. It was fun but at the same time I had some usually experience due to how they do things differently.

Legally traveling out of my country Nigeria can really be so difficult. Starting from getting your passport. Getting my international passport took me almost a month. First I have to go to another state to register for it, but unfortunately I was referred back to my state. I spent a lot of money on transport going from my house to the immigration office. So after some week I finally got my passport. I was so happy.

After getting the necessary documents for my travel I decided to visit one of the African countries; Ghana. I traveled by land so I got to see many places while traveling. I bought some foods on the way which was totally different from that in my country. We stopped at many borders and summited our passports. Honestly traveling with all needed documents can really be interesting. I was nervous because it was my first time. After less than 24 hours I reached Ghana, in a place called Circle. It was night then. Circle looks so beautiful as all around it were fly over, well constructed. Traveling to Ghana was really something I enjoyed a lot.

They people there were beautiful people and really care about others. Their culture was totally different from that of my people. Their food, the way they eat, and how the cook was different from that of my country. So I stayed in Accra for two days and left to stay somewhere else, in a community called Abuam, very far from the Capital of Ghana. I stayed more than 4 hours travelling to this community. There are some things I also saw in this place that was different from that of my country.

They live in their town and farm in their forest. Here in my country you see people place around their home but that was totally different from the people of Abuam. They live together in one small town with a lot of people. Through my stay there I didn't see any family plant around their house, they only do their farming in the forest where they have a lot of land. Honestly Ghana has land. I stood on the top of the mountain and looked around. All I saw was green all around, farm land that looks really beautiful. Nature is really beautiful.

Coming to food. I love the Ghana jollof. It taste really good. Although not sweet than Nigeria jollof 😃. At first when I saw their cultural attire it didn't look all that okay for me. But as time goes on I began to like it, seeing how good it looks on them.

Is really a good thing travelling around and exploring other people's Culture and tradition. Travel is really part of education. After three months i returned to my country. I must say, my perception changed a lot.

I'm using this write up as my participation in Aprilinleo and I will like to invite @Sammyhive to participate.

I never have the pleasure of traveling to other countries than my country, Nigeria. But, being in other places than our native land is truly a blessing and wonderful experience which I have enjoyed many times

Okay. Maybe sometime soon you will travel around and see how beautiful and unique other people's Culture can be.
