I don't know the guy, but I think he underestimated things for starters, but I also believe that he enjoyed talking with the community in a different way than he is used to.
I find it kind of hard and it took some extra time to get close to 700 comments this week. I feel more comfortable doing 50-60 comments a day rather than 100 a day.
I am not sure he is so dedicated this week. Last week was a test run for him. The question is how much did he enjoy it?

I agree with you. I believe he did too. It also allowed him to get some information out there while also getting feedback.
Commenting is a two way street. It can be valuable for many.

50-60 comments per day is still insane.. I could, probably, do that once or perhaps twice per week. Tops.
