RE: LEO Authors Are the Most Rewarded Users on Hive | November Author Reward Leaderboard

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Is that normal that the leaderboard is the SAME week after week, to the same authors?

A better distribution would be staggered users no?

Sort:

Ever browse top ten artists.. say like in the music world? They often remain the same as well. Success breeds success and everyone else has to work harder to compete. It's a natural law.

Promotion and name recognition is everything in the world of attention.

As with anything, there are always going to be some users consistently on top. We've done other reports that show the continual widening of tokens (unlike that of Hive).

I believe it was our last curator leaderboard report from the @leofinance account from a few weeks back. It showed the width of votes from the whales. @dalz or @taskmaster4450le may have more data on these activities as well.

I think the key difference between our distribution and other systems is that these authors aren't being unduly rewarded. They're on the leaderboard for a reason and a few spots have changed over the past few months. Hopefully we see this trend continue and some authors rotate in and out.

This is a good question though. I hope some LEO curators read this and maybe seek to distribute some of their votes differently if they feel it has merit.

Many of the same names are showing up but their LEO payouts, for most, are going down.

This is true across all aspects of the leo system. With more people involved, the rewards get diluted, providing payouts to more people.
