ChatGPT is a language model, and being a model that is trained on existing data, it means it is ,'garbage in, garbage out' - One's prompt really matters. If one is clueless and vague with prompts, the results are likely to be vague and not reliable.
Absolutely I agree with you, the prompts matter, I have had to use it on several occasions where I had to rephrase the prompts to better get what I want from it and it is definitely not a substitute for knowledge I still prefer human originality over.
