Little by little the bee build the hive.
Providing a node is different from being a witness right ?
Node providers won't add block to the chain but just make available a part of frontend for Hive users.

There are API nodes and witness nodes.
Some of the witnesses run both but they serve different functions. API nodes are what the apps tie into which provide the data they need.
Witness nodes validate the blocks the blockchain produces.
