My Problems with Matrix-8

The legal and financial headaches

The Matrix-8 Solution will likely be a legal entity registered in Wyoming as an LLC-DAO and developed in a Web3 environment.

The group of people behind want to be free from the government controlled by the select few, but are willing to base themselves on that very legal structure. This is immensely dangerous to both them and the people how are gathering around them in support of changing the world.

The intention is that the Mother Platform keeps itself well insulated in its use of the Utility Tokens planned. If they are never sold, but only donated into existence, and if there are never any contractual agreements regarding them, it is hoped that the SEC would never have jurisdiction to regulate the Mob Mother in any way.

It is better in many ways to just exist in a way that they can't regulate. Yes, going without drawing attention to yourselves as long as possible will help. And barring that, getting a lawyer to defend member rights when the state infringes on their rights. Setting precedent that you are a citizen of a nation that is not their government will be hard, but better for everyone in the long term.

Just ignore them for as long as you can. And when they come knocking on your door, because they will be prepared to enforce your rights as a citizen by bring the lawyers.

How to handle hard numbers.

There is no explanation of how to handle groups of people that don't neatly into a number divisible by eight. If I have 67 members, do the last 3 get divided into their own group or split and mixed into one of the 8 member groups.

Also, why groups of 8? It has no nature advantage of another small number.

Why not Hive?

Why? I get that it is not anonymous, but it is a great layer 1 token. An anonymity can be solved in layer 2 solutions. This other chain, huh, what, never heard of you. You are reinventing the wheel elsewhere. Hive has DAO's ready to be copied and adapted to your cause.

Anonymity breed carelessness

On practically every social performance platform, I am aware of the anonymous attack people with hate. Having zero regard for anything, all because they can.

Trust score

Situations where you promise something but fail to deliver will be permanently etched into the blockchain as a way to build trust score for individuals. This is the opposite of anonymity. Trust is important, but I'm not sure if it can be solved this way.

Scam like tactics

The whole thing sound like a Multi-Level Marketing group. Which to put it lightly does not put it into a good light. Many people in the lower classes have tried MLM and made nothing from it. Even if this is a great opportunity, people won't join for this fact.

The End

I don't hate the idea of the Martix-8 solution. In fact, it is an interesting take on building a better world. It does place a significant burden on members of the organization. Which will reduce the ability to take quick actions for the entire membership.
