1/I believe a lot of it is now trying to stay relevant. They have turned to Jerry Springer (#rip) type tactics. They do not provide news but propaganda and sensationalism. There was always a negativity bias.
Yea, thing's are now changed...media has lost it's rep.. internet news are much fast and easy to confirm true narrative or all still we need complete censorship resistance like hive so they won't censor.
At this point, anyone who believes the mainstream media has no hope. It doesnt matter the media company, they all proved they are full of crap.

2/ but I think they are taking it to another level. Media companies are in trouble as the transition to digital, independent keeps growing.
