Increasing Skills will take care of "Ego" that is caused by Missions and increasing fans.
Increased fans give more starbits per mission. If ego meter is not 0, then you will not get benefit of increased fan.

Thank you. I'm working on to bringing down my ego which is now at 56 (down from 85 days ago, lol!)
