It's sad when things like that happen. Hopefully, the team behind Axie Infinity won't fall apart then we'd probably see a good future to it.

I hope so, because I am about to risk and through some couple dollars into it
It wouldn't be a bad idea. We never know what happens. With Binance backing it, they wouldn't just let it fall with their investments on it hehe (just a thought anyway)
