RE: Why is it Hard for Newbies to Get Upvotes?

in LeoFinancelast year

We discover things as we go along and although we didn't know these when we started, we are learning hehe.

As to growing account, it's just my observation. And also read some people mentioning it. It may not be true to everyone but it is quite easy to check. You will be able to notice that those who have large stakes (and still building), no matter the quality and length of their content are mostly greatly supported. Compare it to one that has a really great content but has less HP staked (especially if he keeps withdrawing his rewards) and you will see the difference. The good thing is that Leo has certain curation methods that go beyond just stakes.

to search for one or more communities which are attractive to you.

I totally agree. One of the first best things to do. It helps us find the place that makes us feel comfortable, meet people and then we can explore further afterward.

Thank you kindly, for your inputs (and for sharing).😉

Definitely true!

I heard it a couple of times as well and indeed sometimes observe that accounts with higher reputation / Hive power / connections / followers get indeed big upvotes although their quality isn't always better when compared to newer accounts. Is it because of the higher hp? Maybe. Is it because of another reason, could be as well. Only saying, I don't know it myself. Although I heard it a couple of time that staked hp is important for curators as you mentioned as well.

Thanks to you for the great article! ;D

Yes. The thing is those accounts have built their network and because most large accounts follow curation trails so they do not necessarily read content when they upvote. New people have to fight for attention through their activities so that active whales will notice them.

Thank you too for your valuable contribution :)
