Apart from Splinterlands which is a popular multiplayer trading card game that allows for playing, trading, and earning rewards anywhere at any time, there are also other P2E games built on top of the Hive blockchain. Admittedly, I'm only playing one of them.
Today, let me just share a few of the simulation games that I am quite interested in and may, at some point in time, play them.
Rising Star
This is the only game I'm playing to date. It is a free-to-play music career simulation game that users can play soon after logging in using their Hive Keychain. They start playing as a busker, slowly leveling up to a global megastar by completing "Missions" and accumulating (earning) Starbits which can be used to purchase cards (fans, instruments, etc) or can be sold to HIVE or swapped to other HE tokens or HBD. Players can also earn random rewards.
It's a browser-based game so it doesn't require large memory storage or so. One thing I like about it is that it is not time-consuming. You just click on "Start" and just wait for the timer to finish then move to another mission or play the same level depending on how you want to do it. So you can basically play it in the background.
The game's tokens are Starbits and Starpro, both are tradable on the Hive Engine. To play the game, one must have a Hive account. They provided a link to using the InLeo free account signup method.
This is the only game I'm playing to date.
dCity
I first encountered this game via threads, if I remember correctly. It's a simulation game where players can build and manage their own virtual cities by buying cards (building, technology, citizens, background cards) and earning SIM tokens that can be reinvested to purchase some more cards (new buildings, factories, farms, parks, banks, etc) or can be swapped or traded for HIVE.
According to the introduction, it is a numbers game, but with the added randomness of society.¹ Per my understanding, the more cards a player has, the more prosperous the city is. I believe it also requires some level of strategy and creativity in how one builds a virtual city. The game has the elements of investment, city building, and resource management.
dCity is playable on a browser. It doesn't have any mobile application. Obviously, players need to have a Hive account to be able to play this game.
dCrops
A crypto-collectible farming simulation game that allows players to grow or cultivate different kinds of crops (of course they need to buy seeds), craft items, cook, construct, earn NFTs, and collect CROP tokens, the game's native currency (tradable in Hive Engine).
According to the FAQ, the game requires one to own (buy) some land and seed cards to play. A user needs to plant the seeds in the land plots and wait for the crop to mature.
Players can then sell their harvest shares at the end of each farming season. These shares determine their rank in the leaderboard and how many CROP tokens they get in the season rewards. In addition, players can complete quests (plant, harvest, sell quests) each season and unlock reward chests that contain 10 random reward items (Mystery Seeds, Speed-Gro, Ferti-Plus) all can be used in the next season.²
For more information about this game, please refer to WikiCrops or on the dCrops FAQs.
Rise of the Pixels
This is a new one, the introduction which I came across last week. This is a simulation game where "players manage their own game development studio. Grow through the vibrant eras of gaming, smash bugs, hone your team, and deliver masterpieces to their audiences."³
You must recruit and nurture a team, equip them properly, build your reputation, and secure a steady stream of $PXL income to continue to grow.⁴
The game has 2 currencies: PXL token (main game token rewards) and PXL coin (received by players when opening packs. These cannot be withdrawn, traded, or transferred to other players). This game is still in its Open Beta phase and if you want to join, check this post out.
Other Games
Aside from the above-mentioned games, there are others too which I'm pretty sure most are aware of and they include WOO (Wrestling, still in development), Terracore (idle strategy & collectible game), Muterra (RPG + TCG game), CryptoShots (3D Shooter game), PsyberX (FPS+TPS game, in closed Alpha phase), CraftInk (NFT Trading Card Game, currently in development but there are seasonal mini-games), Genesis League Sports (GLS) and of course, not to forget Holozing, the roleplaying adventure game which is making people excited (in development but perhaps nearing the close alpha phase, not sure though).
There are probably more that I may have missed but yes, it will be interesting to see what other games will be built here in the next few years.
For infotainment only.

Pareho tayo haha. Not sure sa Stardom Play, dko napansin. Yung HashKings nga wala na ata d ko maaccess yung site.

I have come to discover that people love games that is offline much more than the online own actually
Offline games are good because they don't require internet connectivity.

Please what is the cheapest game I can play here and what is the minimum amount of money I can use to play this game?
You can play RisingStar for free. dCity and dCrops require you to buy some assets before you can start playing. I think it is the same with Terracore ($20, if I'm not mistaken).
Really?
I think I’d start with rising star then
Thank you
All the best! Have fun :)
Wow. Thanks so much for this information. I'd love to try the dCrop game. However splinterlands have become so population that id always think that it's the only game on Hive.
You're welcome. Yes, Splinterlands is the most played game that is built on top of Hive.

Good to know this. Thanks
Lots of options now for games but many of these do feel a little on the slow side. However could be expected due to the amount of funds they get. Overall though I'm happy with what I'm seeing lots of great options for games and most are easy and not massive time sinks which is a big plus at least for me.
Yes, most do not have a lot of players like Splinterlands. I noticed some of the games are gone (Hashkings is one). Perhaps the bear season had it tough for them.
I never knew there were so much games built on the hive blockchain, I'm not the gamey type but I think they are amazing and my friends will love them!
Thank you for sharing 🤗
Yeah, there are various games here. There were quite a few that I have not included and just remembered them now, lol!
Maybe you can invite your friends to check them out :)

PS ahhhh that's even the worst, I think I love doing more of board games
Oh, board games are fun too! Scrabble is one that we play especially during rainy or stormy seasons way back, lol! Do you play Chess?
Nice list of crypto games on the Hive blockchain and for me the fact that new games are in the making it is a sign for a better crypto bull run that is yet to come. I remember that when we were on the high of the 2021 bull run, even myself I wanted to make a game and even scratched some NFTs for this purpose.
That's something to look forward to :)
And I'm curious what happened to the game you wanted to make? Perhaps it's time to get it going?😉
I like how there are different games on the Hive blockchain! I was thinking about trying Splinterlands, but your explanations of Rising Star, dCity, dCrops, and Rise of the Pixels make them seem worth a shot. I might give them a try. Have a happy Sunday!
All the best to you when you do try some of them :) I'm the lazy arse when it comes to gaming but will be nice to learn and play some of them when time allows it.
!PIZZA
Lol, built you could try some of it when time permits you. I actually love gaming alot but sometimes when I get busy I let them be.
That was my plan but then I told the husband and he said we already watched it, lol! It's crazy how easy it was for me to forget. But I might do a rewatch :)
Alright then, will be expecting a review probably when you watch 😄😄

Today we are seeing that many more games are coming on top of this project and in the coming time we will see that it will also see us become more popular and Supreme Land which is now for all of us. There is an opportunity to buy its products and their prices will increase in the near future.
