Bio Protocol, a platform for funding and commercializing decentralized science (DeSci) was recently introduced as the 63rd project on the Binance Launchpool. Eligible users can stake the supported assets and earn or farm BIO, the protocol's governance token. Farming started on 24th December at 00:00 UTC and runs for 10 days. Binance will then list BIO for trading on the 3rd of January, 10:00 UTC with BIO/USDT, BIO/BNB, BIO/FDUSD, and BIO/TRY.

- Total Rewards: 99.6 million BIO (3% of total genesis token supply)
- Eligibility: KYC (residents of approved jurisdictions)
- Supported Pools: FDUSD and BNB

- Staked Lista BNB (slisBNB) and Lista collateral BNB (clisBNB) are also eligible
- 85% of the total Launchpool rewards are allocated for this Pool (84.66 million BIO)
- As of this writing, more than 18.2 million BNB are locked in the BNB pool by over 1.5 million participants.

Brief Introduction to Bio Protocol
BIO protocol is a new financial layer on DeSci, engineered to commercialize the best science, faster. It is designed to catalyze an onchain economy of scientific communities (bioDAOs) and create deep, liquid, efficient markets for scientific IP developed by bioDAOs.¹
The protocol aims to address the problems of scientific funding and accelerate biotechnology by giving global communities of patients, scientists and biotech professionals the ability to collectively fund, build and own tokenized biotech projects and intellectual property (IP).²
Accordingly, the team behind this project helped create Molecule, a tokenization platform for early-stage biomedicine, and VitaDAO, the largest decentralized community for longevity science.³

BIO Utility⁶
Governance Power: Holders can vote on IP tokenization, data-sharing policies, and IP licensing and acquisition proceeds. Meta-governance across BioDAOs in the network.
Allows holders whitelisted access to BioDAO funding rounds and tokenized IP on the network.
Curation: BIO holders curate which projects (BioDAOS) join the network (launch via the BIO Launchpad and receive support from the network in terms of funding and liquidity).
Provide liquidity with BioDAO tokens and IP-Tokens to earn trading fees from its protocol-owned liquidity (POL).

Summing Up
Bio Protocol has already completed various milestones on its roadmap. The project aims to enable faster commercialization of science projects through its launchpad which launched and funded 8 BioDAOs and raised $30.3M for research.
The project's governance token, BIO is up for farming on Binance Launchpool (ends in 4 days). The amount of BNB and FDUSD staked and the number of users is quite significant. That shows many are taking advantage of the airdrop.

Just wondering po, wirh the announcement of banning binance in the Philippines, do people still use the platform?
