The thing with open source is that it’s way more high variance, cause it’s more distributed. So it takes way more crazy bets. If you need a crazy think to work to get AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), it seems more likely to happen from the open source [ecosystem] at the moment than from the AI labs, because the labs are de-risking. As you gain scale, you also have to de-risk, you have to do less crazy things, because there is more on the line.
